Abstract: The construction and development of modern archival science since the founding of New China is closely related to the driving forces of all aspects. The development of any discipline is influenced by both internal and external aspects. By reviewing the development of archives disciplines in China, the article proposes the internal driving force of disciplinary development consisting of archival work practice and self-discipline construction; and the introduction of national cognition of archival value, characteristics of social use demand, and foreign archival theory Under the combined effect of the external drive, such as the integration and integration of domestic archival science, archival science has achieved leap-forward development.
